The XM800 Orchestra Module is one of the latest development of ORLA's philosophy.
Fantastic sampled sounds and professionally produced accompaniment styles are combined with a very easy to use control panel.

Sound Sections
The XM800 is divided into 6 sound sections and with a total polyphony of 84 notes and its dynamic keyboard ensures the total control of your music at any time.
It is possible to play up to 4 sound sections with the right hand: RIGHT 1, RIGHT 2, SPECIAL and FLUTES.
SPECIAL can also be played with the left hand together with LEFT section.
A BASS section, for manual or pedal bass, is also available.
RIGHT 1, RIGHT 2, SPECIAL and BASS sections have real time Octave Shift control.
All sections have access to 128 GM sounds plus 168 variations by using the USER SOUND feature.

Unique Accordion Sounds
ORLA has developed for these instruments a very special selection of Accordion sounds with a choice of 40 different voices. Special attention has been paid to the accuracy of sampling and tuning so that for each accordion type the reed sets is distinct to the discerning ear. Also available in this selection are Accordion Bass and Chords tones.

Adjustable Flutes
The Flutes section is made up of 9 adjustable flutes and they have two sound settings: Tonewheel and Theatre Tibias. These allow control of the volume of each flute pitch. Regulate the flutes while you are playing and discover the infinite combinations of which this instrument is capable. There are 6 factory set presets as well as 6 programmable flute presets.
Percussion 5 1/3', 4', 2 2/3' and Click are very important to the flutes to achieve the typical effects for Jazz and Pop styles. Chorus and Tremolo give further variety to the flute section.

Style Selections
The 90 internal styles give a selection of modern styles but also a wide choice of more traditional styles. Each rhythm has three Variations together with excellent Intros and Endings.
Each part of the Auto accompaniment has its own Volume control.

Auto Set-Up - Overall Presets
The Auto Set-Up features calls up appropriate sounds and tempo for each style.
Overall Presets is an easy way to store panel settings in two banks of 20 memories.
The RHYTHM LOCK feature keeps the rhythm pattern the same when changing registrations. This is very important for professional and amateur players who want to prepare sounds and incorporate them within several tunes using different rhythms.

Standard Midi File Disk Player
The XM800 can playback Standard Midi Files from its disk drives and there is a volume control that controls the overall volume of the song as it plays whilst leaving the keyboard volume level alone. This is a practical feature for the live player as the balance between backing and melody can be finely tuned while playing.
A Melody On/Off button will mute the melody line in real time.
Use the Recording feature to programme your own songs. Use the controls of the disk drive and record your music like on a tape recorder. The instruments will save it in SMF format 0 and it will be possible to use your disks with other SMF instruments without any problems.

Custom Styles
If the styles available in the instrument do not suit and you are looking for a special one, it is possible to program up to 16 new styles in the internal memory. All parts of the style can be reprogrammed (Intro, Ending, Fills, Style Variations) and it is also possible to programme different patterns fot Major, minor and seventh chords. The instruments give you the chance to start your programming from one of the Internal Styles or one of the disk styles already programmed by the ORLA musicians without the trouble of composing them from scratch.

Digital Effects
Three different Digital Effects are available in real time on the panel: 12 different Reverb settings, 5 Enhancer effects and 12 different Chorus types are also available.
